Proteome Profiler™ Antibody Arrays

Measure More Than 100 Proteins in a Single Sample

No Specialized Equipment Required

Proteome Profiler antibody array

What are Proteome Profiler™ Antibody Arrays?

Proteome Profiler Antibody Arrays are simple and economical multiplex assays for early-stage discovery research.

This semiquantitative antibody array allows for the measurement of more than 100 proteins in a single sample. It requires no specialized equipment and eliminates the need for multiple Western blot experiments. Antibody array kits contain buffers, detection antibodies, and membranes spotted in duplicate with high quality capture antibodies. The arrays utilize chemiluminescence for detection data that can be quantified in the same manner as traditional Western blots.

Select antibody arrays are also suitable for use with the LI-COR® and FluorChem detection systems.

Antibody Array Principle

  1. Capture antibodies are spotted in duplicate on the nitrocellulose membrane.
  2. Spotted membrane arrays are incubated in a single lysate.
  3. Target analytes are captured by the capture antibody.
  4. Target analytes are detected using a biotinylated or horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated detection antibody.
  5. Biotinylated detection antibodies are reacted with streptavidin HRP.
  6. Membranes are incubated in a chemiluminescence reagent that produces a light signal proportional to the amount of antibody-target analyte complexes formed.
  7. Data is visualized using standard western blotting methods such as film or digital cameras.
